Venous Spring Meeting Prize

Submission deadline: 25 May 2016
Meeting date: 7-9 July 2016
Prize: Oral: 1st: £250; 2nd: £200; 3rd: £150 Poster: £200
Open to: Medical students and trainees

Abstracts should be structured (aims, methods, results, conclusions) and be a maximum 250 words. Candidates short-listed will be asked to present an oral presentation at the meeting in 2016. Candidates not selected for an oral presentation will be invited to present a poster at the meeting. Posters will be presented in an exhibition at the meeting in 2016 and all accepted abstracts will be published in Phlebology. Further details – contact venous@rsm.ac.uk


 

Venous Pump Priming Grant

Submission deadline: 25 May 2016
Meeting date: 7-9 July 2016
Prize: On application
Open to: Trainee specialists under 40 years of age at time of application
To apply, the candidate needs to supply:
a) Up to a 1000 word application outlining the research costs and aim of the potential benefit of the research to the phlebology and endovenous world.
b) Curriculum vitae.
c) Letter from their Head of Department and/or a senior colleague/specialist, supporting the application.
d) Completed RSM form.
The successful candidate will be announced during the meeting in July 2016. The winner will be expected to attend the meeting in 2016 and present their work in a 10 minute presentation.

Venous Travelling Fellowship

Submission deadline: 25 May 2016
Meeting date: 7-9 July 2016
Prize: On application
Open to: All trainees
To apply, the candidate needs to supply:
a) Up to a 1000 word application outlining the trip, costs and aim of the potential benefit of their subsequent professional development.
b) Curriculum Vitae.
c) Letter from their Head of Department and/or a senior colleague/specialist supporting their application.
d) Letter accepting the candidate in the centre/centres to be visited.
e) Completed RSM bursary form.
The successful candidate will be announced during the meeting in 2016. The winner will be expected to attend the 2016 meeting and present their work in a 10 minute presentation. Email applications to: venous@rsm.ac.uk
